Martin Clunes has filmed his final-ever Doc Martin scenes in the role of Dr Martin Ellingham after nearly two decades of starring in the ITV drama.
The hit series is set to air its 10th and final season later this year, after first coming to screens in 2004.
Season nine concluded in November 2019, with Covid causing a larger gap between seasons than usual.
At the time, many viewers at the time questioned whether the cliffhanger final episode might be the last ever, but it was previously confirmed it would return for one last run.
Now, things have officially wrapped for good, as new snaps show Martin and other cast members filming their final scenes.
The last ever scene was shot in Treyarnon Bay, Cornwall, showing the irascible GP after being called to a cliff edge to help save a woman who’d fallen into the sea.

During the lunch break, Martin reportedly flew a drone and after ‘cut’ was shouted for the final time, he gave an impromptu brief speech to the cast and crew and hugged many of them afterwards.
After the drama’s conclusion was confirmed Martin told Lorraine Kelly why he felt it had to come to an end.
‘All good things have to come to an end,’ Martin previously noted. ‘And I’m sure there are lots of people who aren’t fans of the show who think it’s terribly repetitive anyway.

‘But we’re at huge pains not to repeat ourselves. I just think we’ve sort of done everything. I mean, it would be so great to just sort of carry on, but I don’t think we can keep it as good.’
He went on to praise the show’s ‘lovely cast’ that he has got to know over 18 years, adding: ‘We all sort of bump into each other’s children every two years and watch them growing up and flourishing.
‘And just being down there [Port Isaac in Cornwall, where Doc Martin is filmed] is heavenly.’
Doc Martin tells the story of a successful vascular surgeon at Imperial College London, who very inconveniently develops haemophobia – a fear of blood.
This forced him to stop practising surgery, and he obtained a post as the sole general practitioner (GP) in the sleepy Cornish village of Portwenn.

At the end of season nine Doc Martin, fans were left with a big cliff-hanger, as viewers saw the doctor resign from his role as GP.
He returned home to tell his wife Louisa Glasson (Caroline Catz) what he’d decided before she dropped the bombshell on him that she was expecting another baby.
It’s not clear whether fans will see things move forward in time, or whether the series will revert back soon after the cliffhanger.

Martin has headed up the cast since it began back in 2004, and the show’s producer, Philippa Braithwaite, is also Martin’s wife.
After the ending was confirmed, Philippa said in a statement: ’We have loved making nine series of Doc Martin.
‘When we launched the series in 2004 we could never have imagined how much our loyal viewers would take to the grumpy Doc like they have.
