Rylan Clark for Prime Minister? Has a nice ring to it.

On last night’s The Last Leg, the TV personality was outspoken when commenting on the current Tory leadership race going on, as Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss continue their campaigns to become the next Prime Minister following Boris Johnson’s resignation.

After Labour MP Jess Phillips brought up Nadine Dorries’ recent remarks on the costs of the PM candidates’ outfits, Clark emphasised that he doesn’t care what they’re wearing, but should just ‘look after the people of this country and stop being a f***ing a***hole’.

The It Takes Two host’s statement earned him a standing ovation – and his political chat hasn’t stopped there, as he shared a cryptic message on Twitter hinting at potential Downing Street ambitions.

Sharing a gif of Agatha Harkness from WandaVision winking and smiling, Clark tweeted: ‘Serious note…. Can anyone run to be an MP… then PM …. Asking for a friend.’

Whether Clark is tweeting seriously or making a joke, we – and we’re sure many others – would definitely be on board.

‘Tell your “friend” to do it!!!’ one person responded, while another wrote: ‘You’ve got my vote!’

‘Do it big man, we’ll back ye,’ someone else replied confidently, as one supporter urged him: ‘Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it…. Please?’

During The Last Leg episode, Clark even addressed the possibility of becoming Prime Minister, saying that if he were to take on the role, his first course of action would be offering free veneers to everyone.

Coincidence or meant to be? Rylan revealed what chapter 19 is called in his upcoming book (Picture: Twitter/@Rylan)

What’s more, after the episode aired, the 33-year-old shared a picture of chapter 19 of his upcoming new book Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future.

The chapter is aptly called ‘Rylan for PM’, with a subtitle that reads: ‘You never thought I’d last this long… Just wait till I’m running the country.’

Who else wants to see this happen?!

Fans of the former X Factor star have been tweeting about his Last Leg appearance with the hashtag ‘#Rylan4PM’, so who knows… maybe it’ll catch on?
