Elon Musk’s dad was questioned on his feelings on the Tesla founder in a candid new interview – and he absolutely did not hold back.

Errol Musk called in to famous Australia radio show, The Kyle and Jackie O Show, when he was asked about the billionaire businessman, admitting that he’s not quite overjoyed with all that the 51-year-old has achieved so far in his career.

When asked whether he’s proud of the entrepreneur, he candidly replied: ‘No… I mean, we are a family that have been doing a lot of things for a long time.

‘It’s not as though we suddenly started doing something.

‘We’ve all been, as a family, doing things from the very beginning. The kids were traveling with me around the world when they were tiny, they’ve been doing very interesting things.

‘They’ve seen a lot of things, we’ve done a lot of things together, we’re that kind of family.’

Although he said that Elon had ‘surpassed’ the mark, Errol also claimed that his offspring was ‘not happy’ with how far he has come just yet.

‘Elon has surpassed the mark. But …. Elon is not as happy as he’d like to be,’ he continued. ‘He’d like to be where he is now, he would’ve like to have been there five years ago.

‘I know it sounds odd. He feels that he’s behind schedule.

He did reveal that Elon is a ‘very, very nice person’ (Picture: AP)

‘He would’ve liked to have had the Starship up long ago. He is frustrated with progress and it’s understandable. I know it sounds crazy but we tend to think like that as a family.

‘He’s 50 now and I still think of him as a little boy. But he’s 50, I mean that’s an old man.’

Errol also confessed that, while his son is the founder of one of the biggest car companies on the planet, he actually doesn’t drive a Tesla.

In fact, he prefers to sit in the front seat of a Bentley, a Rolls Royce or a Mercedes.

Which is fair enough…

However, he did heap praise on the business mogul near the end of the chat, adding of his son: ‘He’s a very, very nice person.

‘He loves people, he loves humanity.’
