Britain’s Got Talent star Loren Allred is set for greater Hollywood stardom after snagging an exciting role in an upcoming blockbuster remake – she just can’t tell us exactly which one yet.

The 32-year-old lit up screens this spring when she appeared on the latest series of ITV’s BGT, reaching the final after securing Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer and wowing audiences with her gorgeous ballad Last Thing I’ll Ever Need.

She had enjoyed earlier success appearing on The Greatest Showman soundtrack – only one of the most infectious musicals in recent years – belting out the track Never Enough.

Well, it seems Loren is destined for Hollywood fame once again as she has been signed up for an upcoming musical that sounds like an absolute dream.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk as she released the full-length version of Last Thing I’ll Ever Need, the singer revealed: ‘I actually have something coming up that I can’t talk about but it’s a very familiar kind of… I have something in the works that has something to do with music that’s very exciting for me, so I’ll just let time show people what I’m talking about.’

Naturally, we were keen to know more about Loren’s secret project so, when pressed for details, she teased: ‘If I could say, one of my biggest dreams is to be on a James Bond soundtrack, I’ve always dreamt of that. I grew up listening to Shirley Bassey and all of her songs for the James Bond movies so if that came true that’d be a big thing.’

Erm, was she trying to tell us that she’s singing the theme tune for the next 007 movie?!

‘I talk about it in my shows just in case the right person is in the audience, I cover the James Bond songs all the time,’ she replied of her dream to feature on the soundtrack, but only fuelling the mystery.

Loren was intent on keeping the specifics of her next big gig under wraps, but she did reveal: ‘It was [a big musical] at the time so it’s a classic one.’

When asked if it’s remake, she replied: ‘Yes.’

In other words, watch this space.

Loren’s voice may have featured in The Greatest Showman but the masses only became familiar with her face when she starred on BGT.

Recalling her early journey in the industry, the singer explained: ‘At a really young age, 19-21, I was signed to a record label and competed on The Voice and after those opportunities didn’t really go as planned, I decided that maybe I should stay behind the scenes.

‘So when the Greatest Showman came out and it was behind the scenes, I thought this is perfect because I was still able to sing and it was exactly where I wanted to be. I really just felt grateful that this opportunity was preparing me emotionally and it felt like the right time for me.’

She added: ‘But then over time performing it and people not knowing I sang it in the movie, I remembered the dream I had when I was a little girl of being a household name. I finally, during Covid, realised I really just need to go for this, I can’t be afraid anymore and that’s when I decided to audition for Britain’s Got Talent.’

Loren Allred’s new single Last Thing I’ll Never Need is out now.
