Lizzo has joined the chorus of Love Island superfans to reveal her favourite islander – and her shout-out to Indiyah Polack is giving us life.
Last night, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti proved the bookies right by being crowned the winners of the 2022 series, walking away with a grand prize of £50,000 to share.
Indiyah and Dami Hope finished the competition in third place, with Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page in fourth and Gemma Owen and Luca Bish being announced as the runners-up.
From the beginning of this year’s season, Indiyah, 23, has proven a fan-favourite among viewers, so much so that even multi-Grammy Award winner Lizzo is singing her praises from the rooftops.
In a tweet shared less than a day after the winners were revealed, the rapper wrote: ‘Y’all I put on #LoveIsland to fall asleep and now I’m hooked…
She then added: ‘Indiyah the baddest in the villa no kizzy.’
If we received a shout-out from Lizzo… we’d honestly cease to exist.
Indiyah’s Twitter account was quick to react to the incredible namedrop, while it appears that her loved ones are still in charge of her profile following her departure from the villa.

‘NO WAY,’ her account responded in astonishment at first, before later adding: ‘We need to get a Indiyah on the recorder and Lizzo on the flute collaboration ASAP.’
After Indiyah’s unforgettable recorder performance during the Love Island 2022 talent show… that’s something we’d love to see.
When Indiyah and Dami, 26, were revealed to have finished in third place, the couple spoke to host Laura Whitmore during the live final about their ‘unstoppable connection’.
Today, the voting figures for the final confirmed that Ekin-Su and Davide won by a huge landslide, scoring over 60% of the public vote.
Gemma and Luca received over 14% of the vote, while Indiyah and Dami secured over 11% and Tasha and Andrew received just over 10%.
Several celebrity fans celebrated the result, including Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp and radio presenter Greg James.
Meanwhile, ahead of the final, Love Island superfan Margot Robbie threw her support behind Ekin-Su and Davide, saying: ‘Davide and Ekin-Su have made the season.’
Love Island is available to watch on ITV Hub.
