If you fancy slipping behind the wheel of an Aston Martin, just like James Bond, you’re in luck as the spy’s DB5 car from No Time To Die is up for sale at auction.
It’s the genuine stunt vehicle used during Daniel Craig’s last outing as 007 in 2021, complete with the (mock) scratches it obtained during the film’s dramatic opening chase scenes in Matera, Italy.
Re-engineered by Aston Martin’s Special Projects team, this DB5 isn’t quite what you’d get with the model bought off the shelf, so to speak, as this one features a bespoke stunt car suspension and breaking system, alongside its modern engine and gearbox, carbon fibre bodywork and bucket seats with racing harnesses.
One of eight DB5s built specifically for James Bond, and recently rendered in Lego, this model is one of few to also feature Bond’s No Time To Die-specific gadgets, such as the headlight machine guns (obviously non-operational).
Auction house Christie’s reports that it is the first Bond stunt vehicle available to the public by Aston Martin and EON Productions, with an estimated price tag of a cool £1.5million to £2m.
All proceeds of the auction, put on to celebrate 60 years of Bond onscreen, will be split between charities with the funds from this sale going to The Prince’s Trust and The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund.

There is, however, one catch to owning this Aston Martin – it can’t be used on the road, so you’ll need to squash any dreams of sailing along a winding road with the wind blowing through your hair.
The lot is being sold as a ‘non-runner’ collector’s item and as seen, with no warranty, registration with the DVLA or promise that is ‘of satisfactory quality’.

Aston Martin’s relationship with the Bond franchise dates back over 50 years, with its cars featuring in 13 films to date, including Goldfinger, Thunderball, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and Casino Royale.
Sir Sean Connery’s own Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger is expected to fetch up to £1.4m at auction in August too, with his family parting with the car to raise money for a philanthropy fund set up in the late star’s name.
Other notable items among the 60 lots of memorabilia at auction include a Jaguar XF and Land Rover Defenders also used in the recent film, as well as Safin’s snow suit and fractured mask, Bond and Nomi’s Royal Navy tactical costumes and a signed tuxedo jacket worn by Timothy Dalton in 1989’s Licence to Kill.

A jet boat from The World is Not Enough is also up for grabs, as well as a five-night stay at the luxury Fleming Villa at GoldenEye in Jamaica.
The live auction will take place in London on September 28, while an online version will run from September 15 until October 5.
