Love Island winner Davide Sanclimenti’s sister Valeria responded to concerned viewers who noticed she’d unfollowed his new beau, Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu, on social media.
Ekin-Su and Davide stormed to victory on Monday night, winning over 60% of the total public vote from those tuning in.
The pair are currently on their way back to the UK with their fellow finalists, and are looking forward to what the future holds.
However, with Ekin-Su already having over 2million Instagram followers, some avid users of the platform noticed someone who didn’t appear to be following her, Davide’s sister Valeria.
She quickly addressed the worries from fans that something had gone down between the pair, insisting it was purely an accident.
On her Instagram story, she shared: ‘I have been receiving many dm asking what for unfollowing @ekinsuofficial. Thanks for asking, but nothing happened!
‘Yesterday night I was reacting to many photos of them and I just realised I unfollowed Ekin, thanks for your messages. I’m sorry I made you worry.’
She added: ‘I love her and Davide and I hope to meet her again soon,’ before signing off showing her support for ‘EkinDe.’

A representative of Ekin-Su told Tyla: ‘Ekin-Su only just got her phone back late last night after eight weeks and, as you can imagine, once she turned it on, she would have been inundated with texts and WhatsApps.
‘So, she just hasn’t had time to be on her phone and her socials to follow Davide’s friends and family back yet, but I’m sure she will when she catches up with everything,’ they confirmed.

‘Guys, I was crying when I opened my phone… We’re lost for words,’ Davide told viewers.
Ekin-Su then revealed: ‘We’ve just got our phones back so it’s very surreal. I will be coming back tomorrow.’
In a sentimental moment, she added: ‘Thank you so much. I mean this, I love every single person who has been supporting me through this journey.
