Rebekah Vardy has laughed off claims that she’s been forced to sell her homes to deal with legal fees after the Wagatha Christie verdict.
The star has hit out at the way she believes she was treated during the libel trial that she herself brought to court, after Coleen Rooney publicly of leaking stories to The Sun.
Vardy lost the case after the judge ruled Rooney’s social media post publicly calling out Vardy was ‘substantially true’.
Now, in an interview with TalkTV, she has dismissed rumours that she is struggling to pay what could be extremely substantial legal fees after she lost the case.
Asked about having to deal with the bill, she insisted it does not worry her ‘at all’.
‘Legal fees will be dealt with privately the way they should be,’ Vardy said, adding: ‘There shouldn’t be any gloating to do with finances.’

She let out a laugh when she was asked about reports claiming she would be forced to sell some of her properties to help pay for the court case.
‘There’s been quite a bit of speculation about other homes abroad, and that’s categorically not true,’ Vardy insisted.
She said there had been ‘lots of things about lots of stuff but I don’t read the press’.

She went on: ‘I’ve taken a decision not to read anything.
‘And if I do, or if it’s pointed out to me, I learn something new every day about myself, that we’re meant to be doing or that we’ve done.’
In the same interview, the TV personality addressed claims that Rooney’s lawyers had tried to settle the case out of court.

Giving her view, she told the host: ‘If that’s their version of events, I wouldn’t class that as any form of olive branch.’
‘To me, that is not the way it went at all,’ she said.
Vardy is still insistent that she did not leak any stories about Rooney to the press, insisting: ‘I didn’t do anything wrong. I didn’t do it.’

She also addressed the comment she once gave to the press about Peter Andre describing a private body part as a ‘chipolata’, and said while she was ‘deeply ashamed’ of saying it, it was not a leaked story.
It was, she said, a story she ‘put her name to’, and admitted it is something she ‘deeply regrets’.
