The upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars is making its way to Disney Plus this September.
The hit US dance competition was rumoured to premiere on the streaming service in April, which marks the first time the platform will host a live special.
Confirming the announcement on Instagram, fans were told to ‘put on your dancing shoes,’ because season 31 will air on Monday September 19 with this year’s line-up being revealed closer to the time.
Delighted viewers and celebrities immediately expressed excitement in the comment section, with ballroom and Latin dancer Emma Slater writing: ‘Can’t contain myself.’
While series professional Sasha Farber added: ‘Best time to sign up to @disneyplus.’

Supermodel Tyra Banks will be returning as host alongside Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star and season 19 winner Alfonso Ribeiro.
Speaking about the exciting gig, Alfonso told ABC: ‘Dancing with the Stars has been such an important part of my life for so many years, and I am ecstatic to officially re-join this tight-knit family as co-host.’
This wouldn’t be the first time Alfonso and Tyra have worked together, as the businesswoman was a regular character in season four of the Fresh Prince.
‘I’ve known Alfonso since I was 19 years old and he always puts a smile on my face whenever I see him,’ she added to Yahoo! News.

‘Having such a fun-loving, longtime friend as co-host warms my heart.’
Professional basketball player Iman Shumpert and dancer Daniella Karagach reigned victorious last year, beating the likes of Youtube personality Jojo Siwa.
Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will all return as judges for the upcoming season.
In May Italian choreographer Bruno confirmed his departure from Strictly Come Dancing after 18 years.

Bruno revealed the reason for his decision: ‘Unfortunately Dancing With The Stars has moved over to Disney+ to stream live, which is a big deal and very, very exciting.
‘And again, because of the travel situation, I can not really guarantee that I’m going to be there, because anything can happen.’
Dancing With The Stars season 31 returns on September 19 on Disney Plus.
