Alan Carr joked that he retained custody of his friendship with Adele after his marriage to Paul Drayton broke down.
The Chatty Man star, 46, split from his ex-husband at the beginning of this year, after a 13-year relationship.
Appearing on 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, the comedian referenced their split as he joined the panel, alongside host Jimmy Carr and Jonathan Ross.
Unveiling the mascot he had chosen to represent his team with Harriet Kemsley, he showed off a teddy bear that had been sliced in half.
Speaking of the butchered toy, the Channel 4 star quipped: ‘Well, do you know… I’ve gone through a really spiteful, messy divorce. My ex’s lawyer said take half of everything, look at that.
‘But not just that, household items. Look at that, half a kettle, half a toaster, half a fondue set. All the cheese goes all over the floor,’ he joked, revealing his broken props in the studio.

‘Obviously, people want to know about… we’ve divvied up our celebrity friends,’ he continued.
‘I get custody of Adele. Paul gets Gok at the weekend.
‘We’re still friends,’ he added. ‘I know he’s taken half of everything. But the one thing he can’t take is my dignity. Am I right?’
Alan and Paul tied the knot in 2018, with Adele officiating their intimate nuptials in LA.

The pair had already been together a decade before the ceremony.
However, in January this year, they announced that they had decided to end their marriage.
‘They have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go their separate ways,’ a joint statement read at the time.
‘We request that their privacy is respected at this sensitive time.’

Alan faced further heartbreak when his beloved dog, Bev, died in May, shortly after their split.
In a candid interview, he recently explained that his comedy career may have stopped him from having a breakdown, adding that there was always ‘an extra cheer’ from the crowds, which he needed’.
8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown airs on Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
