Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti are as loved-up and bickery as ever as they open up on their relationship in a new video.
The stars, who won the 2022 series of the ITV2 dating show, became absolute fan-favourites during their rollercoaster of a relationship.
While they fell hard for each other in the end, declaring their love and officially becoming boyfriend and girlfriend, their journey was not without its bumps in the road.
And sure, that’s why we love them.
Their first blazing row spawned the now-famous ‘liarrr, actrezz’ insult from Davide, but now the couple are going steady it’s something they’re more than able to laugh about.
In a new video for O2, Love Island’s official network partner, Ekin-Su and Davide spoke about their old-married-couple-esque relationship, and even did a nod back to that infamous argument.
Going all the way back to when Ekin-Su lied about kissing Jay Younger when she was coupled up with Davide, the couple say they wouldn’t do anything any differently – because it made them ‘famous.’
‘Even the mistakes I made during my time in the villa brought me to the right path,’ Ekin-Su said, with Davide adding in a lighthearted manner: ‘Yeah you could be honest though and say you’re a liar.’
‘No, I’m glad I lied,’ Ekin-Su went on.
To which a laughing Davide responded: ‘I’m glad too because apparently it became famous, my line ‘You are a liar!’

At the beginning of the interview, Ekin-Su asked Davide what name he was going to save her under in his phone, complaining: ‘You can’t call me Ekin-Su.’
To which Davide quickly responded saying he would put her in his phone under the name: ‘Liar.’
Later, reflecting on how they felt each other when they first saw each other in the villa, Ekin-Su admitted she was ‘initially attracted to my Italian Stallion Davide.’

She then quickly added: ‘The Italian snake!’
‘Italian snack, not snake,’ Davide jumped in, before the pair burst into laughter.
It’s more than clear that the winning couple are comfortable joking about their past arguments, with Ekin-Su going as far as saying one of Davide’s insults towards her was one of the ‘funniest moments’ in the villa.

‘Davide was calling me a liar and saying I’m made from China or something,’ she said.
Cue a flashback of the Italian Stallion labeling the Turkish actress ‘as fake as the Louis Vuitton from China’… which Ekin-Su didn’t find as funny at the time.
‘Was that funny?’ he asked.
She insisted it was ‘funny looking back,’ with Davide responding sarcastically: ‘Yeah, you were laughing actually.’

The insight into Davide and Ekin-Su’s relationship comes hours ahead of the Love Island Reunion show, due to air on ITV on Sunday night.
The special episode was filmed on Thursday with the majority of the class of 2022 in attendance – and apparenly included a bit of a blazing row.
Hosted by Laura Whitmore, the special reunion episode will feature most of the Islanders from series eight including Summer Botwe and Coco Lodge, who reportedly began arguing over Josh Le Grove during filming.

However, a show source has told Metro.co.uk that the argument is ‘unlikely to be shown’ on the pre-recorded show when it airs.
They added that this was because: ‘It didn’t relate to anything from their time in the Villa.’
Love Island: The Reunion airs on Sunday at 9pm.
