Sheridan Smith has left her role as a judge on ITV’s talent series Starstruck.
The show followed a similar format to the classic programme Stars in Their Eyes, with regular members of the public being transformed into iconic singers.
Pop star Olly Murs presented the series which saw superfans working in teams, with a £50,000 prize up for grabs.
The 41-year-old actress completed the judging panel alongside musicians Adam Lambert, Beverley Knight and comedian Jason Manford.
However, the network has confirmed that the TV personality won’t be back for another series due to other work commitments.
An ITV spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘We would have loved Sheridan to have returned to the show but she has sadly had to decline due to scheduling conflicts with a new acting project.

‘The team absolutely loved working with her, she was a fantastic judge and provided some invaluable feedback to the contestants. We wish her all the best.’
Sheridan is perhaps best known for her triumphant roles as Cilla Black in 2014 TV drama Cilla, as well as appearances on sitcoms including The Royale Family, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and Jonathan Creek.
She’s also been dominating our TV screens with turns in Stephen Port drama Four Lives, Channel 5’s The Teacher and ITV’s No Return.
While details over Sheridan’s ‘new acting project’ has been kept under wraps, it is believed that she’ll be starring in her own one-woman show next year.

In May, the actress reportedly had jewellery stolen after her trailer was broken into by thieves while she was filming the Sky comedy sitcom Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything.

An insider told The Sun: ‘This was a very upsetting incident and everyone involved is shocked — but Sheridan is understandably very hurt.
‘Fortunately, it wasn’t hugely expensive items, more day-to-day things, but she had left them in her trailer for safety while filming in character and came back to find the place had been turned over.’
