Gemma Owen ‘signing major six-figure clothing deal’ following Love Island success-Stella Akinwumi-Entertainment – Metro

Gemma Owen has reportedly landed a major six-figure clothing deal following her Love Island stint.

The international dressage rider, 19, finished in second place on the annual dating show after finding romance with fishmonger Luca Bish –  missing out on the £50,000 prize to Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

In March. Gemma launched her own swimwear line, a luxury collection, called OG Beachwear, which includes bikinis starting at £130, and swimming trunks at £110.

But following her Love Island success, the star is set to become the new face of online retailer Boohoo.

‘She had lots of brands keen to sign her,’ an insider told The Sun.

Since her return, Gemma has promised to keep fans updated with her journey, while Luca described his journey as ‘the best and also most challenging experience all rolled into one for me.’

Although the pair had their fair show of arguments during the show, Gemma’s football ace dad Michael Owen is proud of the way she carried herself.

During Monday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, she said: He just says, “So proud, you didn’t do anything to sort of disgrace us”. He’s happy. Everyone seems just buzzing which is nice.’ 

The two were later quizzed on the status of their relationship and while they’re yet to confirm they’re boyfriend and girlfriend, Gemma said: ‘I mean we’re pretty much official, we’ve just not got a label on it. That’s up to Luca.’

The Brighton-native insisted: ‘I will do it.’

Over the weekend, Luca enjoyed some downtime with his family, while Gemma’s family threw a lavish Love Island party for her at home, complete with blue and white balloons and the infamous ‘cursed’ yellow beanbag.
