Pete Davidson has reportedly sought out professional help after being repeatedly targeted by Kanye West on social media.

Over the past year, Gold Digger rapper Kanye has shared a spate of posts about Pete in light of the Saturday Night Live comedian’s romance with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian

These have included Kanye, 45, nicknaming the comic ‘Skete’, leaking alleged text messages between them, and releasing a music video featuring himself burying an animated version of Pete alive.

However, the Grammy-winning musician has been accused of taking his campaign against Pete too far this week, after posting a mocked-up death announcement for ‘Skete’ to celebrate Pete’s split from Kim after nine months of dating

A source has now claimed that Pete, 28, is having counselling sessions to deal with the onslaught of jabs from Kanye.

The insider told People that the King of Staten Island actor ‘has been in trauma therapy in large part’ due to Kanye’s social media attacks.

They added: ‘The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he’s had to seek out help.

‘[Pete] has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she’s been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship.

‘Moving forward he just wants to focus on his career.’

It was revealed that Kim, 40, and Pete ended their romance recently with sources claiming the Skims boss felt he was too ‘immature’.

However, another insider told E! News that while they have love and respect for one another, the distance became too much for the budding couple.

After Kanye’s shocking post declaring Skete ‘dead at age 28’, Kim quickly made it known that she didn’t support her ex-husband’s attack.

A source told Metro.co.uk: ‘Kim has tried to get Kanye to take it down and has vigorously defended Pete.

‘She very much cares for him and will continue to defend him.’

Another insider told DailyMail.com: ‘She’ll never get back together with Kanye over the way he’s treated the people she loves and respects.’

Kanye has since deleted the photo and currently has no other posts on Instagram page.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Pete and Kanye’s reps for comment.
