Rapper Fetty Wap has been jailed after allegedly threatening to kill a man while making a FaceTime call last year, it’s been reported.

On December 11 2021, the musician – whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II – is said by prosecutors to have stated on a video call: ‘Imma kill you and everybody you with,’ while also brandishing a gun.

The video call is said to have taken place two months after the 31-year-old was arrested on drug charges, with prosecutors outlining that the threat violated the terms of his pretrial release.

In October that year, Maxwell was taken into custody by FBI agents, having been charged with ‘conspiring to distribute and possess controlled substances’ alongside five other individuals.

The Trap Queen star was released on a $500,000 (£413,510) bail the following month, after authorities seized 16 kilograms of cocaine, two kilograms of heroin, fentanyl pills, five guns and approximately $1.5million (£1.24m) in cash during the investigation.

In an affidavit, it stated that the rapper displayed a gun during the video call and threatened a man’s life, AP News reported, which is regarded as a violation of state law.

Furthermore, the musician’s possession of the firearm and the threat he allegedly made is also reported to have been in violation of the terms of his release when he secured bond in November 2021 for his drug charge.

During the FaceTime call, Maxwell reportedly made repeated threats to the unidentified man stating: ‘I’m gonna kill you,’ while also responding to being labelled a ‘rat’ by saying: ‘Your man is a rat.’

According to the 679 rapper’s website, he’s scheduled to be performing at Troubadours Country Saloon in Alabama on Friday August 19, and at Congress Avenue Bridge in Texas on Saturday August 27.

His most recent Instagram post was shared on July 31 this year, when he uploaded a photo of himself with the caption: ‘End of July But it feel like October out here.’

In August 2021, he suffered the death of his daughter Lauren aged four, who he described as his ‘little twin’.
