ITV has denied claims that Love Island star Jacques O’Neill was removed from the villa for ‘misogynistic behaviour and impersonating deaf contestant Tasha Ghouri’ after allegations on social media.
Rugby player Jacques quit the ITV2 dating show last month due to his mental health, telling his fellow islanders at the time that he needed to ‘get back to himself’.
Before his dramatic exit, he had spent several days trying to win back his partner Paige Thorne after it was revealed he kissed Cheyanne Kerr while she was away in Casa Amor.
Following the Love Island finale, which saw Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti crowned the winners, someone claiming to have met someone who works on Love Island said that Jacques ‘was actually removed’.
ITV has told Metro.co.uk that these claims are completely untrue.

The unfounded claims come after Jacques was heavily criticised for mocking Tasha after a video on his private Instagram story was leaked.
Watching the final episode of Love Island at home, the ex-islander showed the clip of Tasha and her boyfriend Andrew Le Page making their romantic speeches to each other.
When it was Tasha’s turn to declare her love for Andrew, Jacques quoted Davide Sanclimenti’s iconic line: ‘You are a liar, actress, get the f**k out.’
On top of that, fellow contestant Remi Lambert has claimed his experience on the show was ‘s**t’ because of Jacques and accused him of bullying.
‘Jacques said bad things about my appearance and the way I speak, whilst Luca [Bish] was encouraging it,’ Remi said. ‘After about three strikes from Jacques I told him I won’t be speaking to him anymore in the villa.

‘Later on he tried apologising to me but like 10 minutes after he started with the snide comments again. I’ve tried to avoid this guy multiple times but he always ends up starting again. I don’t know when it will stop.’
Since his exit, Jacques has said doing Love Island was the ‘worst decision of my life’.
Speaking to The Sun, he explained: ‘I was feeling so mentally drained, I just wanted to go home and get myself right.
‘It broke me and I was already broken. I was crying my eyes out. I couldn’t cope.
‘I was literally feeling awful. It was the worst I’d ever felt in my life.’
Last week, Jacques told Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard that he was ‘scared of life’ after leaving the show.

He said: ‘When I was in the holding villa after I left the actual villa, I just wanted my mum. All I wanted to do was just be with my mum and literally just go into hiding. I was getting so much hate and me and my mum were getting death threats and everything.
‘I was like, “Mum, we just need to stay indoors, I’m going to delete social media and I’m never going to be seen”.’
Love Island is available to stream on the ITV Hub.
