Dan Walker accidentally left Matt Goss ‘very, very nervous’ after revealing the ‘most uncomfortable’ part of his Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.
Dan, 45, made it all the way to the quarter-finals of last year’s Strictly with Nadiya Bychkova, so knows a thing or two about the process.
On Thursday, he was joined by one of this year’s competitors, singer Matt, 53, who has returned to the UK from Las Vegas in order to take part.
Chatting on 5 News, Matt asked Dan to delve further into some of the notes he’d been giving him from his time last year.
The 80s hitmaker said: ‘In regards to you doing it, you told me we’d have to do a dance before the photoshoot?’
‘Oh yes, I was saying sometimes before you actually do the show, you’re in front of the cameras and they just ask you to dance.

‘That was my most uncomfortable moment ever,’ the former BBC Breakfast presenter admitted.
‘You’ve made me very, very nervous!’ Matt responded before Dan apologised and offered up some ‘good advice’ to the singer.

‘Essentially, just trust your professional,’ he said. You know when you see somebody who;’s brilliant at what they do, and you can say, okay, I’,m safe in your arms, just tell me what to do and I’ll try and soak up as much as I can.’
It came after Matt admitted earlier on in the chat he’d been asked to do Strictly ‘many times’ but felt this year was finally ‘the right moment’ to take it on.
‘I am nervous but I call them good butterflies, I don’t get nervous… when I’m singing, this is definitely not my comfort zone,’ he quipped.

The Bros member told Dan he’d call him ‘six times a day’ for advice before going on the show, as he gears up to take part in this year’s line-up.
He has joined a star-studded field set for this year’s series, including Will Mellor, Kym Marsh, Kaye Adam, Tyler West, Richie Anderson, Jayde Adams and Ellie Simmonds.

Upon being announced on This Morning earlier this week, Matt admitted: ‘I’m quite shy off stage, I’m gonna have to face all those demons and just learn.’
He added: ‘I’m sure I’m gonna get a hard time now and then, but I’m going to do my best.
‘I’ve been asked to do it before but I think honestly, for me where I am in my life, 11 years in Vegas, all the venues I’ve played – I want to just get out of my own way, let go a little bit and have some fun.’

Goss revealed he has had the codename American Bulldog and only told three people after agreeing to appear on the show, and he’s back in the UK after living in the US for over two decades.
We can’t wait to see you take to the dance floor, Matt!
5 News airs weekdays from 5pm on Channel 5, and Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
