The landlord of Britain’s most haunted pub has revealed a chilling experience he witnessed and caught on CCTV, with what appeared to be a ‘ghost’ pushing a pint off a table.

Scott Dawson is the manager of Cumbrian pub Ring O’Bells, and since moving into the pub, he admitted there’s always been ‘a creepy feeling’.

Joining This Morning hosts Rochelle Humes and Craig Doyles, Scott explained the spooky events that have been going on in his pub.

Before Scott joined Rochelle and Craig, the pair watched a chilling video of what appeared to be a glass moving a little on the table before falling off and smashing.

While Craig wasn’t convinced, Scott explained that two regulars came in and bought two pints, leaving one of them on the table.

‘The glass just literally started moving down the table and fell off,’ he said, adding: ‘Everybody was really surprised and shocked, I checked CCTV and it’s hard to explain.’

‘There’s always been a bit of a creepy feeling to the pub since I first moved in,’ Scott added, though Craig tried to later explain that maybe the glass just moved because the table or the bottom of the glass was slippery.

Scott also shared a chilling attic experience that was the ‘only time’ he had been scared in the pub.

He explained: ‘It was about a month or so into living here, when I’d moved everything into the pub and got settled.

‘3.30 in the morning I was woken up to an incredibly loud bang and it really did scare me.

‘It’s the only time I’ve been scared, because this is a big place and I’m on my own, just me and the dog.’

He continued: ‘So as I walked down the corridor, looking around to see if anyone was in the pub or if I’d been broken into at night, I discovered that the attic hatch had just dropped open.

‘First I thought maybe I didn’t lock it, made sure it was locked and went back to bed.

‘Then about three weeks later, it did the same thing again and no one had been up there or seen it.

‘It’s a twist lock so it sits on the lock so unless you push the door open and twist it, it actually doesn’t open.’

‘Very strange,’ an unconvinced Craig replied.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
