Danica Taylor has claimed Jacques O’Neill was ‘quite into her’ in the Love Island villa.

Paige Thorne, 24, and Jacques, 23, were coupled up on the ITV2 dating series before he had his head turned by some of the Casa Amor bombshells, and now Danica has opened up on some unaired scenes from the show.

Speaking to On Demand Entertainment, she said: ‘With Jacques, he was flirty with me and he was giving me signals that he was quite into me.

‘He always said it was either 100 or nothing and he kind of then made out that he never gave me that kind of inkling that he was into me in that way.’

The 21-year-old dancer – who has opened up about her own issues with Paige – admitted there ‘definitely was a bit of a vibe’ between her and Jacques, and at one point they chatted for around an hour ‘on the bean bags’.

‘It was very flirtatious. We were getting along. Things like that maybe didn’t get shown because it may not have fit the journey I was about to go on. There was a flirtatious conversation though,’ she said.

Her comments come after Paige deleted all photos of herself with Jacques after he was called out for his behaviour towards some of his fellow Islanders.

He left days after Paige found out he had made moves on both Mollie Salmon and Cheyanne Kerr, and she moved on with Adam Collard.

Her decision to delete snaps of them together comes weeks after he made a similar move, taking down pictures of Paige from his own account.

He was recently hit with claims he has ‘bullied’ contestants such as Remi Lambert and Tasha Ghouri.

He has since acknowledged his behaviour and attended his first therapy session last week, and issued an apology on his social media accounts.

He said: ‘I want to acknowledge the situation that’s happening right now and apologise if my behaviour has caused offence or been misinterpreted the last few weeks.

‘I genuinely have no bad feelings towards anyone and I’ve not meant for anything to come across that way at all. It was not my intention and I’m genuinely sorry if it has.

‘Life has been very overwhelming recently and admittedly I’ve probably not handled myself in the best possible way. I take full responsibility for my actions. I’m aware I’m far from perfect and that there is work that needs to be done on myself.’

Love Island can be streamed in full on ITV Hub now.
