Married At First Sight (MAFS) UK will soon be back with a brand new second series.

While the series two cast look great, many will be missing the unforgettable cast of the UK’s debut series – from lukewarm Luke and Morag, to loved-up Adam and Tayah.

Overall, the MAFS franchise has had some romantic wins, but has had its fair share of missed matches, too.

And in the reunion episode of series one, viewers got to find out which of the main couples had stayed together – and which quickly fizzled out after filming stopped.

So, which couples from the latest series of Married At First Sight UK are still going strong?

Amy and Josh

Amy and Josh are no longer together.

According to Amy at the reunion, they didn’t see each other for 10 days after the experiment which caused their relationship to break down.

‘There was just a lack of effort,’ Amy told the group. ‘I just want someone who knows my worth, do you know what I mean?’

Stating why he chose to end things, Josh said: ‘There were plenty of moments you’d flip for no reason.’

In the end, Amy admitted that she did actually love Josh but felt unable to tell him. They’ve since gone their separate ways.

Morag and Luke

Morag and Luke are not together anymore.

During the reunion, Morag cited that Luke didn’t contact her after the experiment, with the firefighter going on to say that he felt ‘used’ by his bride.

‘I think I was played the whole time,’ he admitted. ‘I wasn’t the guy you wanted and it was just a game for you, the whole thing.’

Furious by his comments, Morag fired back: ‘Oh my God, you think I would have been through all of that? I was honest with you from start to finish.’

Morag added that she was looking for someone who is ‘right’ for her.

Tayah and Adam

Tayah and Adam did manage to find love in the experiment.

Naturally, the were still an item in the reunion episode – and have remained a couple ever since.

‘It honestly feels like we’ve been together for years and years and years,’ Adam said during the reunion episode, while Tayah added: ‘I’ve been the luckiest person ever.’

As of August 2022, the couple were living in Doncaster, and announced earlier in April that they were expecting their first child.

Marilyse and Franky

Despite looking very loved up at the reunion, the book has closed on Marilyse and Franky’s relationship.

Speaking with The Sun shortly after in October 2021, Marilyse confirmed her split from Franky, saying that their relationship cooled off soon after the final episode was filmed.

‘A few weeks after the reunion we went our separate ways, we didn’t even fall out, we just mutually agreed that maybe we were not each other’s future,’ she said.

‘Eventually, things just went a bit dry and we ended up being more like friends than people in a relationship.’

But despite the fact that Franky has moved back to Dubai, the two have kept in touch and remain on good terms. She added: ‘It’s nice we can have a friendship out of it and someday we would all love to go and visit Franky in Dubai.’

In August 2022, Marilyse gave Metro.co.uk a tour of her swanky Yorkshire pad – where she lives with her two teenaged sons and pet bulldog.

Dan and Matt

Dan and Matt are still together, after the couple declared their love for each other on the show.

At the reunion, Dan said: ‘We actually haven’t set a date on when to settle down, I think that creates an excitement in the relationship’ – while Matt added on the topic of future children: ‘We’re going to take our time with it.’

One of the biggest challenges the pair faced during the series was deciding where to live, with Dan strongly favouring his native Northern Ireland and Matt liking hometown Leeds.

In April 2022, The Belfast Telegraph confirmed that Matt had moved to Northern Ireland to be with Dan – and in July, the latter said going on the show was the ‘best decision’.

Married At First Sight UK is available to stream on A4.
