Jamie Laing basically flashed his manhood to the nation while he was on Strictly Come Dancing.

The Made in Chelsea star, 33, was about to compete on the reality contest in 2019, but was forced to drop out with a knee injury, and returned in 2020 eventually coming in fourth place as a wild outsider.

He was partnered up with Karen Hauer Wyn-Jones, 40, who before they took to the stage for their cha-cha, told Jamie he had a lot of himself on display.

Appearing on Dish with Nick Grimshaw and TV chef Angela Hartnett, he recalled: ‘I did the cha cha to begin with and I was like, this is going to be easy.

‘And before I went on, they dress you up in costumes and all of that. And I wore these white trousers. And literally, as I was about to go on, I was nervous all freaking out and Karen, my dance partner, looked at me and said, “by the way, I can see your manhood in your trousers.”

‘I went, are you joking? I’m about to go on in front of 13 million people. So, I was standing there, I was the first one on. I was freaking out. And the voice went, here we go, 2020, Strictly Come Dancing, Jamie Laing!

‘And the music, I froze and just moved my leg. I didn’t know what I was doing. And I turned and saw Karen my dance partner, and there was pure fear in her eyes. And she just said, “come to me”, so I run over to her and started dancing.

Angela recently confirmed she actually turned down the chance to be in the 2022 line-up for Strictly Come Dancing but she’s off on her holibobs walking in Peru.

She did say though that she would love to do it ‘for two reasons’.

‘One, I would love to learn to dance, I would, because actually, and I imagine when you go to a wedding back in Sicily, they still do the proper, you know, old school,’ she said.

‘And I think you’d lose a lot of weight, honestly, from a selfish point of view. That’s the other reason I’d like to do it.’

While Ange won’t be waltzing through the winter months, the likes of Helen Skelton, Fleur East, and Matt Goss will be facing judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Crag Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke.

Strictly Come Dancing launches September 10 on BBC One. Dish, the new podcast from Waitrose & Partners hosted by Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett is available on all podcast providers now.
