Jamie Oliver has revealed that his wife, Jools, suffered from ‘deeply scary long Covid for the past two years.
The celebrity chef revealed the mother-of-five became very ill when she contracted the disease and continues to battle with the side effects.
‘She’s had bad Covid and long Covid, so she’s been really affected by it, sadly,’ he said. ‘She’s okay, but still not what she wants to be.
‘It’s been two years. She finds it deeply scary.’
The 47-year-old explained that specialist doctors have been unable to help.
‘We’re all over Harley Street like a rash, but no one really knows anything. The data on long Covid is still piling in,’ the cook – who dedicated his new cookbook, ONE, to his partner – continued.

Jools, also 47, has been spending much of her time with their children – daughters, Poppy, 20, Daisy, 19, Petal 13, and sons Buddy, 11, and River, six – and taking things easy at Spains Hall, the couple’s mansion in Essex worth an estimated £6million.
Despite the struggles, she has been hanging in there.
‘She’s been an absolute superstar,’ he added to Mail Plus about his wife of 22 years.
Around 1.8million Brits are estimated to have long Covid, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics.
The typical symptoms associated with the condition include brain fog, fatigue, breathlessness, heart palpitations, nervous system issues and nausea.
