Jersey Shore star turned wrestler Zack Clayton wrestled his first match on TV this week but it didn’t go as well as he hoped.
The reality star and JWoww’s husband – who has been having matches on All Elite Wrestling’s YouTube shows Dark and Elevation for a couple of years – finally made his television debut on AEW Rampage as he fought Hook for the FTW Title.
The bout was set up last week with Clayton poised to battle the son of WWE and ECW legend Taz in a significant bout, but this was a blink and you’ll miss it moment.
He took a swing at the bell rang, but Hook ducked and immediately locked in his signature Red Rum submission hold for a speedy victory.
This wasn’t the ideal result for Zack, 27, who didn’t even really get a chance to impress any new fans after his entire in-ring AEW career to date has been made up of matches online.
It was a strong showcase for Hook though, as the rising star continues to show potential to be a major player in the future.

Zack had really hyped up the match beforehand, promising to beat the champion and to deliver ‘one of the biggest debuts ever’ in wrestling history.
‘The kid’s really good, but there are some things that Hook is not that I am,’ he told TMZ Sports before the bout. ‘It’s going to be a great show [and] great match nonetheless.’
He added: ‘Once this match happens this Friday, they’re never going to forget who I am. I know I’m going to make one of the biggest debuts ever in the sport this Friday on Rampage.’
Elsewhere on the show, Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland retained the AEW World Tag Team Titles in a great match against Private Party, while the tournament to crown the inaugural AEW World Trios Champions continue in the main event.
Best Friends picked up the win here over Trustbusters with some help from Danhausen.
