The Game of Thrones prequel, House Of The Dragon, is set to introduce viewers to a host of new characters when it’s finally released in the UK and around the world.
Joining Matt Smith in the cast – who’s set to play Prince Daemon Targaryen – are Emma D’Arcy, who portrays his niece Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Milly Alcock, who stars as a younger version of the dragon-riding royal.
The series is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, which saw audiences follow the journey of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) as she sought to rule the Seven Kingdoms.
In the spin-off, her Targaryen descendants are currently at the height of their power – but as faithful fans know, there will come a time in the not-so-distant future where the House’s numbers dwindle and they’re unseated from the Iron Throne.
So who is Milly, what else has she starred in and what do you need to know about her character?

The actor is 22 years old and made her first TV appearance in Australian TV series Wonderland in 2014.
She’s also appeared in other shows including Janet King, Fighting Season and The Gloaming, and was named a Rising Star of 2018 by the Casting Guild of Australia.
Milly recently explained how she auditioned for House Of The Dragon without knowing what the project was, saying: ‘I got a self-tape for an unknown HBO project.’

After going to shoot it with a friend, her pal worked out that it was for a Game of Thrones-related project as the scene in question involved Arya Stark, she told the Evening Standard.
Who does she play in House Of The Dragon?
Milly plays a key role in House Of The Dragon, as the story delves into the question of her character, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and her claim to the Iron Throne.

Rhaenyra’s father, King Viserys Targaryen I (Paddy Considine), is faced with a difficult decision – whether to keep his brother, Prince Daemon (Matt), as the next in line to the throne, or whether to consider his daughter being named heir, despite the fact that she’s a girl.
From a young age, teenage Rhaenyra proves herself as an accomplished dragon-rider with her chosen dragon being Syrax, who is extremely loyal to her.
Who else is in the cast?
In addition to Milly, Emma, Matt and Paddy, other members of the cast include Olivia Cooke as Lady Alicent Hightower and Emily Carey as the younger version of the character.
