When you think of Love Island, you think of the hot sun and the glamourous contestants – but Jay Younger is about to ruin all that for you.

The toilets? ‘Absolutely rank’. The showers? Apparently there are just two of them. And 18 contestants sharing three bathrooms? ‘Rancid’.

In an interview with the Daily Star, the bombshell spoke honestly about conditions in the villa during this year’s series.

‘Yeah, there were only two showers in the whole villa,’ he told them. ‘The toilets were absolutely rank, they were rancid.’

He continued: ‘Just imagine 18 people at the peak of Casa Amor and only three bathrooms. It was really nasty.’

Jay, 28, was dumped on Day 35 alongside Chyna Mills, just two days before Jacques O’Neill’s outburst and exit from the villa.

Jay’s comments back up reports from Metro.co.uk’s TV editor, who visited the sunny location earlier this year.

‘I don’t know why I was expecting the toilet to be given the same garish treatment as the rest of the villa,’ he said at the time.

‘When I rushed inside to see the secret toilet that never makes it to air, it was an anti-climax, to say the least.’

The ITV reality show moved to a brand new villa this year, leaving behind the Ses Salines spot and moving to Sa Vinyassa.

But with Jay’s comments already spreading on social media, it seems that moving to a new location hasn’t really improved things on the hygiene front.

Jay has also revealed that he will not be trying to carry on with the red carpet lifestyle, instead returning to his job as an investment analyst.

After filming the Love Island reunion, Jay told the Mirror that his life hopefully won’t be changing too much after his time in the public eye.

‘I’m going back to work on Monday. There’s some commercial opportunities out there in the short term, but I think longer term I’ll be back at work.’

He continued: ‘My work were so cool with it, and they really supported me. I’m really grateful to still have them as employers.’
