Tasha Ghouri has admitted she felt ‘pressure’ because she ‘wasn’t a favourite’ with Love Island viewers.

The 23-year-old model and dancer – who met her boyfriend Andrew Le Page in the villa – has reflected on the challenges she faced on the ITV2 dating show as she opened up to Cosmopolitan UK.

She said: ‘When it comes to public votes, it is quite a tough scenario. You’re in the villa with no contact with the outside world. For me, I did get emotional quite a few times.

‘That’s purely because I couldn’t voice myself at the time. I couldn’t reach out to post on Instagram or post a story to say, “This is why I was feeling like this.”

‘In that moment in time, I kind of knew that maybe I wasn’t a favourite on the outside world, and it does get to you a lot. It’s pressure. Yeah, I think for me to handle it, I just had to stay positive and look forwards and be in a moment in the villa and not think about the outside world as much.’

Although aspects of the Love Island experience were difficult, Tasha didn’t feel ‘pressured at all’ when it comes to her figure, and her outlook on her own body didn’t change.

“I wouldn’t say so. Even before going into the villa, I was like, “I’m going to go to the gym for two months.” Didn’t go once. I was literally having takeaways every night, having chocolate’, she added.

‘Even in the villa, I was still eating a good balanced diet, I was still having chocolate and sweets. Honestly, [since] walking out, nothing’s changed [with] how I feel about my body. I still feel confident in myself.’

Looking to the future, Tasha has tipped herself and Andrew to be the first couple from this year’s show to get married, and they’ve already chatted about ‘getting engaged in a year’.

‘We’re going down that route and getting ahead of ourselves a little bit, but we’re happy. Have to wait and see on that one,’ she teased, while they already have some big plans together.

Revealing they want to ‘stay in London’, she said: ‘For me and Andrew, we’re going to be moving out together. He’s currently living with me, and we’re going to move out and find a place together. We’re currently looking, which is very exciting.’
