Love Island’s Gemma Owen has signed a six-figure deal with online retailer Pretty Little Thing.
The international dressage rider, 19, finished in second place on the annual dating show after finding romance with fishmonger Luca Bish – missing out on the £50,000 prize to Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
Gemma has been updating her fans on Instagram over top secret meetings since arriving back in the UK earlier this month.
And it’s been revealed that the star is following in the footsteps of 2019 finalist and PLT creative director Molly-Mae Hague, to serve as a new face of the beloved brand.
Speaking about her exciting new project, she said: ‘This really is a dream come true for me.’
‘I wore PrettyLittleThing throughout my time on the show and now being announced as one of their newest ambassadors alongside some incredible talent including Love Island alumni is really special.’
‘The team has been amazing and I’m excited to get to work and start designing some collections for you all,’ she added.
Pretty Little Thing also confirmed the news on social media.
‘IT’S OFFICIAL! Welcome to the PLT family @gemowen_1. We can’t wait to show everyone what we’re working on…,’ they tweeted.
PrettyLittleThing CEO Umar Kamani said: ‘Gemma is the perfect person to represent the PLT consumer; she’s smart, confident, ambitious and has a much loved, relatable style.

The star is certainly no stranger to the fashion industry, as she launched her own swimwear line called OG Beachwear in March, which includes bikinis starting at £130, and swimming trunks at £110.
Gemma and Luca had their fair share of ups and downs on the show, but judging from their milestone M&S food shop, the couple seem to be going from strength to strength post Love Island.
Former professional footballer Michael has refrained from speaking out too much about his daughter’s involvement on the show, and only mum Louise visited the villa during the highly-anticipated ‘meet the parents’ episode, but he’s now revealed that while he did watch some episodes, he couldn’t watch the challenges.

He revealed: ‘She’s pretty sensible and she’s a good kid and I had no worries. I just didn’t bring myself to watch some of the challenges and things like that.’
He continued to The Sun: ‘I don’t like seeing my daughter kiss people, but I probably watched 30 to 40% of the show.’

However, Michael still found ways to keep updated with what Gemma was up to in the villa.
‘On the days that I didn’t watch, I was on the phone to the wife at five past ten asking, “How did she do?”‘ he added.
