Matt Goss is counting on Bros fans to help him win this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The 53-year-old star was the lead singer of 1980s pop group, which also featured his twin brother Luke as the drummer.
Matt believes the band’s ‘Brosettes’ will be his secret weapon in his bid to win the glitterball trophy, after fans went wild with excitement as his name was announced as part of the line-up.
The singer will compete alongside celebs such as Kym March, Fleur East, Helen Skelton, Will Mellor, Kaye Adams, and more, when Strictly returns for a glittering 20th series next month.
Matt told the Daily Star newspaper: ‘The Brosettes have been around for more than 30 years. They are superfans.
‘After all this time you get to know their names and who they are and they have been a huge part of our story so you care about them.’

He continued: ‘Sometimes when we arrive at an airport, they are there and out of 100 people you recognise 70 of them. It’s a nice feeling.’
Elsewhere, Matt revealed that he celebrated his return to Britain with the most British activity you can imagine – drinking with Beefeaters in the Tower of London.
The star is returning home after more than a decade in Las Vegas, so what better way to celebrate than with a few pints at the iconic landmark?
‘I went to a mate’s at the Tower of London. I have a couple of Yeoman friends. There is a pub inside the Tower where you can have a pint. There are fewer Yeomen than there are people in space’, he shared, saying they come ‘undercover’ to his shows in Vegas.

‘I have been there for 11 years, four shows a week, and on stage everyone is equal.
‘Everyone gets treated exactly the same. I think that is how I have met so many people from so many walks of life.’
Despite spending a lot of time in the States, Matt is proudly British and he wishes other people were more patriotic.

The Bros singer recently told Dom Joly on his Sunday Session radio show that he doesn’t believe it’s ‘controversial’ to ask people to ‘please respect our country’ if you were born in Britain.
‘This is our home – contribute and love it’, he urged, admitting that it ‘rubs me the wrong way’ if someone ‘continually complains’ about his home turf.
Catch Matt on Strictly when the show returns to BBC One on September 17.
