Yazmin Oukhellou has returned to The Only Way is Essex in scenes filmed before she was involved in a crash which killed her boyfriend Jake McLean.

Yazmin, 28, was left seriously injured and reportedly ‘lucky to be alive’ after the crash in July which killed McLean, 33, while the couple was on holiday in Turkey.

On Sunday’s episode of Towie, Yazmin was shown in the Dominican Republic discussing her relationship with ex-boyfriend James Locke after they chatted during the previous night.

‘It looks like we’re getting back together,’ she joked.

‘Definitely not, we’re just friends and that’s how I like it.’

Earlier in the programme, Locke assured they were still friends, and there was no mention of McLean.

McLean’s ex-girlfriend Lauren Goodger, James Argent and Liam Gatsby were among the Towie stars to attend his funeral on Tuesday August 16.

Yazmin appeared to absent but that same day paid tribute to McLean on Instagram.

Alongside a photo of him wrapping his arm around her, she wrote: ‘I have been taking some time away from social media to fully focus on my mental and physical recovery. I needed this time away to work on healing and processing everything as best as I can.

‘This has taught me that life is so short and we must cherish our loved ones as much as possible.

‘I am so grateful for our memories and the special time that Jake and I shared. I’ve not stopped thinking about him and I’ll miss him always. He will forever hold a special place in my heart.

‘I want to thank everyone for their support and lovely messages. I truly appreciate each and every single one of you.’

The Only Way is Essex airs Sundays at 10pm on ITVBe.
