Dame Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Lattanzi shared an emotional message on Instagram on Monday, in the wake of her mother’s recent death aged 73.
The 36-year-old, who Dame Olivia shares with her ex-husband Matt Lattanzi, took to social media to post a quote about grief from author Jamie Anderson, which described it as ‘unspent love’.
Chloe had previously opened up on Dame Olivia being her ‘best friend’ and shared photo tributes from their life together after the news of her death broke, following the actress’s battle with breast cancer over 30 years.
Putting a singe heart emoji in the caption, Chloe posted the quote on her grid, which read: ‘Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot.
‘All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump of your throat, and the hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go,’ I finished.
The touching words were met with a wave of love and support in the comments for Dame Olivia’s daughter.

‘Your mother left a flame in our hearts that will burn forever. We loved her so much,’ wrote one follower, while TV journalist Leeza Gibbons added: ‘This is perfect! Thinking of you and your grieving process, sweet girl.’
Another fan posted: ‘Everyone loves you so much Chloe 🤍 this is so accurate 🤍🤍 your mum was simply the kindest, warmest, best person ever & I know she is watching over you every day & will be sending you signs [sic].’

Dame Olivia was married to Chloe’s father for 11 years from 1984, with Chloe her only child.
The Grease star, whose best-known film is being re-released in cinemas in the US her honour, received heartfelt tributes from all over the industry and world, with musicians such as Dolly Parton and Sir Cliff Richard lining up to remember her fondly alongside her co-stars John Travolta and Stockard Channing.
