Gary Busey’s spokesperson has claimed the actor may have needed the bathroom when he was photographed with his trousers down on a bench a day after being accused of sex offences, which he denied.

The actor, 78, was photographed sitting on a bench in a park with his trousers pulled down around his knees before pulling them back up and tying them at the waist.

Busey then lit a cigar and looked at the ocean for around half an hour before getting back in his car and leaving the park.

The Point Break star’s representative addressed the photos after they emerged, telling Page Six: ‘Gary often sits on the bench in front of his home to meditate and look at the ocean.

‘Our only guess is that perhaps at his age, he realised he couldn’t get to the bathroom in time which explains what happened in the video of him on the bench.’

Busey had suffered permanent brain damage in 1988 after being severely injured in a motorcycle accident which left him with a fractured skull as he was not wearing a helmet.

In 2008, while appearing on Celebrity Rehab, Busey was referred to psychiatrist Charles Sophy who suspected that the actor’s brain injury had a greater effect on him than was realised, leading him to speak and act impulsively as his mental ‘filters’ had been weakened as a result of the accident.

The footage was taken a day after Busey was accused of multiple charges including two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact following Monster Mania Con, which took place between August 12-14.

Cherry Hill Police said in a statement: ‘A California man is facing sexual offence charges stemming from incidents occurring at the annual Monster Mania Convention hosted by the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

‘During the weekend of the event, August 12-14, 2022, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Doubletree Hotel, 2349 West Route 70, for the report of a sex offence.

‘On August 19, 2022 as a result of the investigation, Cherry Hill Police Detectives charged Gary Busey, 78, of Malibu California, with the following offences: 2 counts of Criminal Sexual Contact – 4th Degree, 1 count of Criminal Attempt/ Criminal Sexual Contact – 4th Degree, 1 count of Harassment – Disorderly Persons Offence.’

Busey had denied the claims as ‘all false’ when asked about the allegations by TMZ, telling the outlet: ‘None of that happened.

‘There was my partner, a camera lady and me and two girls, the only ones in there. It took less than 10 seconds, and they left.’

He added: ‘Nothing happened, nothing, it was all false.’
