Jason Momoa is ready to embrace his villain era in the new Fast and Furious movie, and we’re here for it.

The 43-year-old was announced as part of the star-studded cast for the upcoming action blockbuster, titled Fast X, alongside Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, Ludacris and Michelle Rodriguez.

Very little is known about the movie, which is slated to be released next year and will serve as the 10th outing of the hugely popular franchise.

Shedding light on his role in a new interview, the Aquaman star teased: ‘I’ve never played a character that’s, what’s the word – he’s evil and quirky and androgynous.

‘He’s very sadistic and fun. It’s very bizarre.’

Speaking of embracing a rare stint as a bad guy, he added to Variety: ‘I haven’t played a villain in a very long time.’

Fans were whipped into a frenzy when Jason joined the cast list for Fast X, with Rita Moreno, Brie Larson, Daniela Melchior and Michael Rooker confirmed to be taking part as well.

Nathalie Emmanuel, Tyrese, Jordana Brewster and Sung Kang will also be reprising their roles

The Game of Thrones favorite was later spotted living up to the film’s name while on set in May, revving up a storm on a motorbike in Rome.

‘I’m gonna go do Fast 10, that’s gonna be fun… it’s fun, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven’t gotten to do for a while…’ he told ET at the time.

‘Now I get to be the bad boy. A very flamboyant bad boy. A little panache.’

Jason recently made headlines after he spoke of his ‘dad bod’, following his recent hernia surgery.

The superhero went under the knife in March, but he still managed to attend the Oscars the very next day – as you do.

However, he has been forced to shelve his strenuous fitness regime over his recovery, which he has learned to embrace.

Appearing on the Late Late Show with James Corden, he told the host of his recuperation: ‘All good. Not really doing sit-ups. Trying to keep that dad bod going for a little bit longer.’

When James understandably warned that Jason couldn’t describe his body as a ‘dad bod’, he laughed: ‘Well, I don’t want to do any more sit-ups!’

Fair play…

Fast X is slated to be released in 2023.
