Helen Hunt has been desperate to pay homage to her favourite film Star Wars but her daughter certainly doesn’t approve of the tribute.
The 59-year-old has been an avid follower of the beloved sci-fi movie franchise, which first came out in 1977.
And to really prove how committed she is to the cinema classic, which spawned iconic characters like Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca and popularised lightsabers, the veteran actor wanted a tattoo.
Appearing Thursday’s episode of The One Show, the Cast Away star revealed that top of her wishlist was an inking of the Rebel Alliance logo.
However, the Twister performer said her daughter put a stop to her dreams, telling her she would be an ‘idiot’ to get the marking.
After her child’s hard no, Helen said she realised she was ‘right’ to halt the tattoo.

But as the Then She Found Me director is currently in London to tread the boards for a satire ‘about a highly contagious virus’ at the Old Vic, presenter Ronan Keating joked she could go behind her US-based daughter’s back.
Helen slightly dodged the question, but pointed out the Westlife star’s sleeves, implying it was natural he would encourage her.

During the interview, Helen also spoke about ‘tricking’ the makers of As Good as It Gets into giving her a role alongside Jack Nicholson.
She said producers were reluctant to cast her because they felt she was ‘too young and not right’ but she was determined to be in the project after reading the script.

Helen managed to convince them otherwise and said she was ‘nervous’ to act next to legend Jack.
‘But you’d have to be dead not to be nervous,’ she said, describing the 85-year-old as an ‘actor’s actor.’
The One Show airs weekdays at 7PM on BBC One
