Chloe Madeley has opened up on her breastfeeding journey with her baby girl, admitting she had her fears about it before having her child.
The fitness trainer, 35, and husband James Haskell, 37, welcomed their daughter Bodhi in August and Chloe admitted that she feared the experience of breastfeeding more than childbirth itself.
She explained alongside a photo of her feeding her daughter: ‘The thing I was most apprehensive about my whole pregnancy?
‘It wasn’t the childbirth, which I was quietly certain would go to plan [laughing emoji]. It wasn’t the fact we were moving house at 37 weeks.
‘It was breastfeeding, which I was absolutely certain would fall apart for me in a matter of days, if not hours, like it did for so many friends and family members of mine.’
Chloe admitted that pregnancy and life postpartum had made her reevaluate her outlook on her body, explaining: ‘What I learned throughout my pregnancy, and what I’ve learned since in the postnatal period, is not to take your body personally (even though your visceral reaction will likely tell you to). Don’t do it.

‘Don’t think that because you expect your body to do something, it will, and don’t think you should attach any kind of emotion to that whatsoever.
‘I could never have predicted that I’d end up getting an emergency c-section, or why, and I could never have predicted that breastfeeding would come so naturally to both my body and my baby.
‘After a decade long love affair of action / reaction between myself and my body respectively, I can safely say that the tables have turned. Expectations…lol.’
Chloe and James welcomed baby Bodhi Rae Georgia via an emergency C-section, which the new mum has kept her followers up to date on.
She revealed that even going out to eat was an achievement in the recovery period: ‘‘Obviously you can’t really do much in the days / weeks following a c-section, add to that, recovery from any form of childbirth and or major surgery is KEY, so this 45minute meal felt like a REALLY big deal.’
