Bad Bunny surprised fans by sharing a kiss with his backup dancers on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

The Puerto Rican pop superstar, 28, was performing his hit song Tití Me Preguntó when in the middle of the energetic dance number, he paused to give his female backup dancer a kiss shortly followed by a longer smooch with his male backup dancer.

The moment came immediately after he won artist of the year, a category in which he was up against Drake, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X and Lizzo.

He also made history by being the first non-English-language singer to win the big prize.

It is not known why the star, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, kissed his dancers, but he is known for defending LGBTQ rights and hitting out against the concept of ‘toxic masculinity’ in the Latin community.

It was largely met with support from fans.

Another commented: ‘Love Bad Bunny! Am I the only one not phased by the bad bunny moment? I mean good for him, shoot I wish it was me papi… Lucky dancer though’

While a third stated: ‘The amount of pics that I got of bad bunny kissing a guy is hilarious to me. Like ok? Lol still love him…’

Bunny, who is dating 28-year-old Puerto Rican model Gabriela Berlingeri, told Playboy in a 2020: ‘I think that sex is a giant world, and everyone is free to see it as they want and do it with whoever they want, however they want, with infinite possibilities.
