Music superstar Fergie kicked off the 2022 MTV VMAs in style with a surprise performance of her hit song Glamorous.
The American singer first released the banger in 2006 as a single from her debut studio album, The Dutchess, with the track featuring American rapper Ludacris.
All these years later and it remains a timeless pop tune, so fans were more than thrilled for her to perform it with Jack Harlow.
Wearing a sparking silver top reading ‘first class’ in red lettering, she sang with the hip hop star as other music legends, including Taylor Swift, looked on from the audience.
Jack introduced the show, entering from an aeroplane-inspired set with a number of famous ‘passengers’, including Avril Lavigne, Lil Nas X and Jimmy Fallon.
The pair’s surprise performance was followed immediately by Lizzo, who delivered a rendition of 2 Be Loved (Am I Ready).

It was a big night for Jack in terms of awards too, as the first award of the night, best collaboration, went to him and Lil Nas X for their hit Industry Baby.
‘Wow, I’m up her like half naked but I want to say something,’ he said as he accepted the award.

‘I really appreciate you MTV, I worked really hard last year. Thank you for all the love, and hopefully (I’ll be) back here and I have something better to say.’
Jack was also nominated for eight other awards, while Lil Nas X was nominated for seven.

Industry Baby went on to win two more gongs, including best art direction and best visual effects.
Jack was also a winner in his own right, as First Class scooped the trophy for song of the summer thanks to its viral success on TikTok.

Other big winners of the night included Taylor Swift for her short film All Too Well (Taylor’s Version), and Harry Styles who became the only Brit to win an award for his third solo album, Harry’s House.
Elsewhere, Johnny Depp made a surprise comeback and joked about ‘needing the work’ as his face was projected onto the head of a moonperson, while Nicki Minaj later performed a medley of some of her biggest hits.
