Sarah Beeny has revealed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The presenter and property expert, who previously opened up about her mother’s battle with the disease, said she has begun a course of chemotherapy.
Sarah, who presents shows including Help! My House Is Falling Down and Sarah Beeny’s New Life In The Country, told The Telegraph that she had ‘a little bit of a breakdown’ after receiving the news in a hospital consultation room.
She also said she will have surgery and undergo radiotherapy in the New Year.
Despite her diagnosis, Sarah has said she will continue to work and is currently focused on a new Channel 4 series and book she has planned for later in the year.
Sarah also said: ‘I’m lucky because I live in a family where we all talk.’

She added that she plans to draw on her ‘inner strength’ throughout her treatment process.
Sarah lost her mother to breast cancer when she was 10. In 2017, she shared a message backing the charity Brain Tumour Research, and opened up about her mum’s illness.
She said at the time: ‘Mum had her life ahead of her, so many things she should have been doing and looking forward to.
‘It’s hard to think about. As a young girl, I was protected from the harsher realities of my mother’s illness, but I still noticed.’
She has four children and has been married to her husband, artist Graham Swift, since 2003
