Lord Alan Sugar is no stranger to sharing his opinions online.

The Apprentice star is famously outspoken and will get involved in political debates on a daily basis.

Now, the 75-year-old wants to know, how do we reverse Brexit?

As of January 31, 2020, the United Kingdom is no longer part of the European Union, making it the only sovereign country to have left the EU.

The referendum was held under Theresa May’s government in 2016, but now many people are questioning whether the Brexit they got is the Brexit they were promised.

Taking to Twitter, Lord Sugar issued a scathing attack on the Conservative government, initially retweeting a brutal image that read: ‘Brexit has not worked. There are no opportunities. It was all based on lies. The sooner we admit this, the better.’

The biggest liars in 2016 was Boris and Gove with the red bus. They should both go to Jail. As a chairman of a public company if I mislead or lied to my shareholders ( in this case the public ) I would be sent to jail. https://t.co/irsTu0nvcf

In response, the businessman wrote: ‘The biggest liars in 2016 was Boris and Gove with the red bus,’ referring to a red bus that was part of the Brexit campaign and claimed that the government would send the supposed £350million that went to the EU at the time, towards the NHS instead.

Continuing his rant, Lord Sugar wrote: ‘They should both go to Jail. As a chairman of a public company if I mislead or lied to my shareholders ( in this case the public ) I would be sent to jail.’

But he wasn’t done there, as the TV star later added: ‘This might sound a stupid if not naive question but what would it take for us to reverse Brexit and re join the EU’.

He asked his followers for a ‘serious debate please’, to which he received hundreds of replies.

Naturally, the Amstrad founder received replies of all political beliefs, with some Twitter users agreeing with him, while others urged him to ‘have a day off’ and ‘get over it’.

When a number of followers pointed out that Lord Sugar has sided with Boris Johnson – who announced his resignation as Prime Minister earlier this month – at the polls, he was quick to explain.

Proceeding to lay into former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, he tweeted: ‘For the smart critics highlighting my support of Boris in the last election citing that as hypocrisy. The prospects of Corbyn being our pm I would have supported the Kray brothers also. The moral of the story is Corbyn had to be stopped even through I knew Boris to be a liar.’

This certainly wasn’t the first time Lord Sugar has expressed divisive opinions on social media, another recent example being his criticism of Arsenal’s pink football kit.

Lord Sugar was subjected to ridicule after his bizarre tweet about the blush pink colour of Arsenal’s kit, which the players debuted during their first game of the season against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Friday night.

But, Arsenal legend Ian Wright was then hailed a ‘national treasure’ by later appearing on Match of the Day wearing a bright pink shirt himself.
