Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline explained that he didn’t involve himself during the singer’s 13-year conservatorship in an upcoming explosive tell-all.

Former dancer Kevin, 44, who was married to Britney, 40, for three years, recently spoke about his ex and said their sons, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, made their own decision to stop seeing her a few months ago due to being ‘embarrassed’ by her nude social media photos.

The Everytime hitmaker has been open about her struggles during the conservatorship, which had her father Jamie Spears make personal, business and financial decisions for her.

During a teaser from his sit down with 60 minutes Australia – which will air on September 4 – Kevin explained how he distanced himself from the fan-led free Britney movement.

‘I was mortified for her, I really was,’ he began.

‘I still feel bad for her. The boys, the boys, the boys. I had to worry about them. I couldn’t get involved.’

‘It’s been a few months since they’ve actually even seen her,’ he added.

Britney and her new husband Sam Asghari recently fired back at Kevin in Instagram posts, with the pop star saying she was ‘saddened’ that her ex would air their issues publicly, while her fitness trainer husband said there was ‘no validity’ to Kevin’s comments.

Following Kevin’s claims, celebrities including Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez have shown support for Britney.

On an episode of her Amp radio show, Queen Radio, the Super Bass rapper fumed: ‘Do you understand what kind of a clown you have to be to be — a whole, grown f***ing man, and as soon as you see somebody happy and getting married and moving on and being free and feeling good in their own skin, to do the very thing that you know is going to attempt to break them down? Going to the media?’

While Hustlers actress Jennifer urged the Toxic hitmaker to ‘stay strong.’

Tension between Britney, and her family has been well-documented over the past couple of years, as the performer moved to end her conservatorship.

During a court hearing, she revealed shocking details of the court order, which included her allegedly being banned from removing a contraceptive IUD implant from her body so she could have children with Sam.

However, the 40-year-old has been doing her best to move forward, signing a multi-million dollar book deal and has released a new duet with musician Elton John.
