Harry Styles has not bagged himself another Harry’s House.

The former One Direction star, who won the prestigious Album of the Year gong at this year’s MTV VMA ceremony, was rumoured to have purchased a lavish home that once featured on Grand Designs.

The seafront mansion comes with a bit of history, with reconstruction efforts that caused millions of debt and a marriage break-up for its owner leading to it being dubbed the ‘saddest ever episode.’

However, estate agents have put to bed rumours that the Watermelon Sugar singer, who is dating Olivia Wilde, has bought the mansion, which is listed at £10million.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Knight Frank said: ‘There is no truth in the rumours that Harry Styles has purchased Chesil Cliff House. The house is still on the market.’

In 2018, couple Edward Short and then wife Hazel appeared on the show, presented by Kevin McCleod, as they transformed the six-bed home, which took 10 years to complete.

But the refurb put Edward, who paid £1.4million for the original property, around £7m in debt, and cost him more than cash.

Speaking to The Sun earlier this month, Edward said he lost his wife due to the ‘pressure’ his dreams put on her and their kids.

‘It’s got to go because it’s beyond me now,’ he added.

Earlier this week, speculation was mounting the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker has bought the home in the North Devon hotspot of Croyde Bay, named Chesil Cliff House, for a cool £8m.

Locals told the Daily Star that Harry, who is dating Olivia Wilde, bought the mansion after falling in love with the region.

One said: ‘It’s the talk of the village. Harry Styles has apparently bought the house for £8m. I don’t know whether it’s just Chinese Whispers but that’s what everyone is saying.”

Another local said: ‘I’d heard that Harry Styles had bought the house. I don’t know whether it’s true but if it is then Harry’s welcome here.’
