Kate Ferdinand has returned to her podcast after suffering a miscarriage earlier in the summer.

The star, who is married to footballer Rio Ferdinand, revealed in July she had lost her pregnancy at 12 weeks, saying she was ‘absolutely devastated.

Writing on Instagram at the time, the 31-year-old explained: ‘The last time I was in this hospital I was having Cree, but this time it was because our baby had no heartbeat in our 12 week scan and I had to have surgery.

‘We were so excited & planning a space for our new baby in our family, we just couldn’t wait to share our news with you all, but unfortunately sometimes life just doesn’t go as we plan.’

The ‘heartbroken’ star took some time off from social media to deal with the loss, but has recently made a return where she thanked fans for their support.

On Tuesday, the former Towie star said she was ‘so grateful for all of your messages,’ adding she was ‘feeling good mentally.’

‘Thank you for continually checking in.’

Kate has now also returned to the studio to record her popular Blended podcast, and looked in brilliant form as she admitted it was ‘good to be back.’

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the star shared a snap from the studio featuring herself in peals of laughter, and wrote: ‘First day back recording my @blended podcast.

‘It’s been a good break but it’s so good to be back!!’

She teased fans on what to expect from upcoming episodes, hinting: ‘One of my guests had me in hysterics.’

One of these guests happened to be her daughter, with Kate uploading a short video to her stories of them in the studio with the caption: ‘Take your daughter to work day.’

And, amid her heartache, Kate experienced a kind moment from a fan as she headed out for dinner in Nandos.

She revealed a woman slipped her a napkin with a note covered in hearts, which read: ‘Kate, thank you for Blended!’

Kate wrote alongside the note: ‘To the lovely lady that gave me this [in Nando’s, thank you.

‘I’m so glad it’s helping & this made me all emotional this evening.’

Kate’s podcast focuses on blended families and the joy that can be found within them, with Kate herself a stepmother to Rio’s three children Lorenz, 15, Tate, 14 and Tia, 11.
