Bianca Belair wants to be an inspiration to WWE fans by standing tall as the role model she needed during her own struggle.
The current Raw Women’s Champion – who has candidly opened up in the past about her past battles with an eating disorder which saw her placed in a psychiatric hospital – admitted being help to help other made it easier to share her experience.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk at WWE’s Be A Star anti-bullying rally in Cardiff with the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Wales, she said: ‘Me really being vulnerable and opening up about it was actually very therapeutic for me.
‘I feel like it was a lot easier for me at the time when I decided to open up about it because I felt like I wasn’t necessarily going through it, I had been through it. It never ends, it’s a journey, you need to figure out what your triggers are.
‘But I’m blessed to be surrounded by individuals and an amazing support system. I knew that when I was going through my mental health issues when I was in the thick of it, I needed someone that I could relate to to let me know, “Hey there is another side to it”.
‘I really wanna be vulnerable and open up and give someone what I needed during that time. It’s also therapeutic for me, it helps me stays on the right track too.’

The EST of WWE was at the event with her real life husband Montez Ford and his Street Profits tag team partner Angelo Dawkins as they gave children advice on how to deal with bullying and channel their emotions positively.
For Montez, he takes a lot of comfort from travelling the world with the people he loves the most.
‘I’m the luckiest out of all three of us, because I have my partner in life and also my partner in crime beside me at all times. I’m very fortunate to be in a position where I can go through these successful with them,’ he explained.
‘But they’re also the first ones that I’m venting to when stuff is going on. They know me better than anyone in this entire world… It’s always good to let those emotions out and have them bring you to reason sometimes.
‘I could be wrong! And they bring another insight. It’s always good to see a different point of view from someone else going through the same thing or share the same common interest or peace and values are you do.’
As Bianca pointed out, it’s important to know how to deal with your feelings, as valid as they are.
She added: ”You have to know how to manage and understand those emotions and feelings.
‘We allow each other to vent, we validate those feelings but then it’s like, “OK, we can’t stay here so how do we get you out of this rut?” ‘
