Doctor Who fans, prepare for your hearts to melt as cast members went to cheer on Mandip Gill at her West End debut.

The actress recently joined 2:22 A Ghost Story, a show that made its debut in 2021 with Lily Allen and Jake Wood.

Now, Mandip stars in the fresh run alongside Harry Potter’s Tom Felton, with former Love Island host Laura Whitmore joining the cast later this month.

Proving that the Doctor Who family is as strong as ever despite Jodie Whittaker’s upcoming final scenes this autumn, the actress joined her co-stars Bradley Walsh and John Bishop to go and see the show this week.

The Chase host Bradley couldn’t have looked prouder as he beamed outside the theatre, cuddling up to Mandip, who played Yaz in the BBC show.

‘Lots of love “Dad”,’ Mandip wrote on her Instagram Story as she shared the adorable pic.

Meanwhile, a fan inside the theatre snapped another pic of Jodie and John sitting together inside, before posing for selfies with the stars, buzzing to see them there to support their friend.

Whoovians were totally living for the reunion, with one fan tweeting: ‘This is lovely! They really are like a close family offscreen!’

‘I will absolutely never get over this’, another added, while a third wrote: ‘This is the cutest thing I’ve seen all day’.

2:22 A Ghost Story tells the story of Lauren and Ben, whose come round for a housewarming dinner.

While they drink wine and relive their pasts, they also argue about the existence of ghosts and decide to stay up until 2:22am to discover the truth.

Upon joining the cast, Mandip said: ‘I am thrilled to be making my West End debut as part of the new cast of an already successful show. I am equally scared of ghosts so this should be fun.’

She will exit Doctor Who officially later this year when the regeneration airs and a fourteenth Time Lord takes Jodie’s place.

Jodie’s ‘epic’ final outing is said to ‘honour past Time Lords in a special way’, as an insider has revealed the Black Mirror star will sport a variety of the best-loved items from the wardrobes of her predecessor.

Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa will then take Jodie’s place, with speculation still rife around who his companion will be.

Doctor Who returns this autumn on BBC One.
