Married At First Sight UK viewers were left upset by a ‘fatphobic’ comment made by one of its stars.
The social experiment show follows couples as they meet for the first time at the altar and test out their relationship as newlyweds.
The latest duo to see whether the rather extreme dating method pays off is Kwame, 42, and Kasia, 36, according to a preview for Monday’s episode.
In the short clip, the two business workers, who are also both from London, are seen walking up the aisle in an opulent ballroom, with Kwame sporting a red jacket and Kasia wearing a lacey white dress.
However, before Kasia meets her new husband, a voiceover reveals Kwame’s ‘doubts lead to a frosty first night of marriage.’
‘More often than not I go for someone more petite,’ Kwame says.
MAFS fans flocked to Twitter to comment on the remark, with a viewer calling it ‘fatphobic.’
They added: ‘The fatphobia that always pops up on these shows makes me want to nuke the whole planet. Why are men like this I hate you #MAFSUK.’
‘So we’ve got a lovely bit of fat shaming to look forward to in the next episode #MarriedAtFirstSight #MarriedAtFirstSightUK #MAFSUK #MAFS,’ a reality TV fan said.

Sharing a gif of Love Island winner Ekin-Su rolling her eyes, a Twitter user said: ‘That preview.. “I more often go for someone more petite” #MAFSUK.’
Another commented: ‘Already don’t like the guy who’s complaining that she’s not “petite” #MAFSUK.’
As they check into their hotel room, complete with a regal bed, the couple certainly don’t look like a picture of love, with Kwame appearing to point at a pull-out bed, saying: ‘you can sleep here.’

‘I’ll take this one,’ he adds, nodding to the giant four-poster.
Not best pleased, Kasia screws her face up in disappointment, as she announces: ‘Intimacy is really important to me.’
A fan remarked: ‘The way this man is going to treat his bride next week about her size and the bed. I’m already raging. #mafsuk.’
