Vernon Kay was left completely speechless after his childhood dreams seem to come true on This Morning today.

WWE boss Triple H made an appearance on the ITV show ahead of WWE Clash At The Castle this weekend.

After speaking about the upcoming ‘spectacle’ this weekend, and reassuring fans that while he has recovered from his ‘genetic issue with his heart,’ he unfortunately ‘won’t be in the ring’, Triple H – real name Paul Levesque – handed Vernon a pretty spectacular gift.

As the interview came to an end, Vernon began: ‘I’ve got to say Triple H, thanks so much for coming on the show,’ having been fangirling during the segment.

But Triple H interrupted to add in: ‘Before we sign off, I brought a gift for you guys.’

Signalling to a belt that had been displayed on the table in front of him, he continued: ‘It was out here when we started but this is in our business, WWE Championship is the sign of ultimate success, that you have made it in the world.

‘This one is customised with Clash of the Castle in Cardiff on there and I brought this as a gift for you to wear.’

Rochelle jokingly pretended she would be the one to take it home, while a gobsmacked Vernon couldn’t look happier, and couldn’t even believe it was his.

‘If you want fight over it later that’s totally up to you,’ Triple H joked.

But Rochelle conceded: ‘This is fully yours,’ as she handed it to a speechless Vernon, who held it up to say: ‘No way!’

‘I’m absolutely speechless,’ he grinned.

Triple H has taken over WWE after the retirement of Vince McMahon and is now in charge of the company’s creative direction.

The longtime chairman and CEO of the company shocked the wrestling world by stepping down in July amid an ongoing investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct, and his son-in-law has taken over a prominent role.

Not long later, WWE officially unveiled Levesque’s wife and Vince’s daughter Stephanie McMahon as chairwoman and co-CEO alongside the company’s president Nick Khan.

In a press release, they added: ‘WWE executive Paul Levesque will assume all responsibilities related to WWE’s creative, in addition to his regular duties.’

Making a joint statement, McMahon and Khan said: ‘We are grateful for the opportunity to lead WWE together with our unmatched management team.

‘We recognize this is a tremendous opportunity and responsibility, and we look forward to serving the WWE Universe.’

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
