Love Island winner Amber Gill breaks down in tears in tonight’s first episode of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The 25-year-old joins EastEnders star Maisie Smith, footballer Ashley Cain and and Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard as the Channel 4 show returns to screens showcasing some pretty intense training.

However, within the first episode Amber is already in tears after a difficult challenge.

Having gone through the notorious gassing task earlier in the day, the recruits have returned back to camp at night, but it’s not long before the DS (Directing Staff) call them out again.

The recruits are forced to do 20 press-ups as punishment for not all having water bottles topped up, which Amber is seen struggling to complete.

Then, they’re asked to carry a partner and run laps around their camp square, with Amber paired with Olympic gold medallist Jade Jones.

She shares in an interview later: ‘Being fresh in the public eye, it’s a lot to cope with, I’ve had to deal with a lot of nasty things that people have said, and as much as I always thought I didn’t care about what people thought, you do care a little bit.’

And the challenges aren’t over yet.

Amber and the other recruits then have to use monkey bars to pull themselves across, which she does with encouragement from Curtis Pritchard and Dwain Chambers.

‘This is p**sing me off,’ she’s heard saying, before the DS single her out and shout at her.

Back in the accommodation, Amber is in tears, saying: ‘You can see I can’t do it, it’s not like I’m not trying, I just can’t be a**ed,’ as Ferne McCann tries to reassure her.

This comes after rumours that Amber and fellow contestant Towie star Pete Wicks ‘quit the series within a matter of hours’, reportedly handing in their numbers after two days.

‘Amber is by no means a wimp, but just couldn’t hack it any longer,’ an insider said to The Sun.

‘She’s a reality star turned fitness expert and even she couldn’t stay longer than two days. She was gutted but couldn’t carry on.’

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to Channel 4 tonight, Sunday, 4 September at 9pm.
