Alison Hammond is hoping this year will be the year she’ll end Ant and Dec’s best presenter reign at the National Television Awards.
The This Morning icon, 47, is flying the flag for This Morning at the star-studded ceremony, which will be hosted by comedian Joel Dommett.
However Alison She’s facing stiff competition, with Ant McPartlin & Declan Donnelly, Bradley Walsh, and Graham Norton the other names hoping to bag the best tv presenter honour.
Although Geordie duo Ant and Dec have won the category every year since 2001, Alison is feeling optimistic that could change.
‘I love the NTAs because it’s the viewers who have voted for you,’ she said.
‘It does mean a lot. I’m not gonna lie. I’d like to win,’ she added to The Mirror.

This comes after Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield’s names were noticeably missing from the nomination list.
Famous faces from the world of television will descend on London’s Wembley Arena on September 15 in the hopes of winning an award.
This Morning presenter and Big Brother winner Josie Gibson recently shared her support for Alison ahead of this year’s NTAs.
‘I couldn’t be prouder,’ she told Metro.co.uk.

‘I messaged her to tell her she’s been nominated, she’s on holiday at the moment.
Unlike other awards, the NTA is voted by the general public, rather than industry bigwigs, making the winners undoubtedly feel celebrated by viewers at home.
