Piers Morgan initially refused to talk about Meghan Markle as he returned to TalkTV tonight, but finished his show with a segment dedicated to bashing her and Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex took to the stage at the One Young World summit in Manchester on Monday evening, making her and Prince Harry’s first public appearance back in the UK since they returned briefly for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June.

During her speech, Meghan told young future world leaders: ‘You are the future… you are the present.’

‘You are the ones driving the positive and necessary change across the globe now, in this very moment,’ she continued. ‘And for that I am so grateful to be in your company today.’

Piers made reference to Meghan’s Manchester visit during the first part of his programme, telling viewers: ‘Meghan Markle is preaching about equality right now in Manchester, and I would love to show you what she is saying, but I couldn’t give a…’

However, later on in the show, he ripped into the royal couple and hit out at them for damaging the monarchy.

‘What are they doing here?’ he asked repeatedly.

‘These two apparently left the country because they wanted privacy,’ Piers continued.

‘They can bang on in public as much as they like, they just can’t do it as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as members of the royal family. Strip them of the titles and they can yap away, and by the way, their market value would go [depleting noise].’

Piers also criticised Meghan’s ‘hypocrisy’ in his latest column for The Sun.

Even by her standards, it’s staggeringly, stupendously, preposterously absurd for a woman who married a multi-millionaire prince, gave up her job, and now lives entirely off the gargantuan proceeds of his royal status that she ruthlessly fleeces to the highest bidders, lecturing anyone about poverty and equality,’ he fumed.

‘Just as it is when she bleats away about the environment from her mate Sir Elton John’s private jet.

‘But for Markle to pull this stunt in Britain, the country she loathes and couldn’t wait to abandon once she sunk her claws into halfwit Harry, at a time when we’re in the midst of the worst financial crisis since the end of World War Two, is as sickening as it’s outrageous.’

He continued: ‘To be blunt, who the f*** does she think she is coming back here at all after all the vile manure she’s gleefully flung at Britain, the Monarchy, and the Royal Family?’

Of course, Piers has a long history of publicly slamming Meghan, and only last week claimed that he’d actually be ‘forced out’ of his job at Good Morning Britain for believing the Duchess of Sussex.

Piers stunned audiences when he stormed off the GMB set in March 2021 following a row with Alex Beresford over the former Suits actress.

He has since branded her ‘Princess Pinocchio,’ and taking a swipe at Meghan on Twitter, he wrote on August 31: ‘Quite funny to think I was forced out of my job hosting @GMB because I didn’t believe Meghan Markle. Now I’d be forced out for believing her…’

Piers Morgan Uncensored airs Monday to Thursday on TalkTV.
