Jennifer Lawrence has revealed she suffered two miscarriages before welcoming her son, Cy.

The 32-year-old Oscar-winner gave birth in February and had kept details of her little one under wraps, however, she has since come out to reveal that she has totally fallen in love with motherhood and is totally smitten with her husband, Cooke Maroney, 38.

Jennifer shared that her son’s unique name is inspired by her gallerist husband’s favourite artist, post-war American painter Cy Twombly.

Speaking to American Vogue as their October issue cover star, she said of becoming a mum: ‘The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over. Like, now is day one of my life. I just stared. I was just so in love.

‘I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing. They’re these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors.

‘Now I love all babies. Now I hear a baby crying in a restaurant and I’m like, “Awwww, preciousssss”.’

Jennifer also opened up about getting pregnant in her early 20s and miscarrying before she could get an abortion.

‘I had a miscarriage alone in Montreal,’ she told the publication.

Jennifer revealed she miscarried again while filming Don’t Look Up and was forced to undergo a surgical procedure to remove tissue from her uterus.

Reflecting on the Roe versus Wade being overturned, she said: ‘I remember a million times thinking about it while I was pregnant. Thinking about the things that were happening to my body.

‘And I had a great pregnancy. I had a very fortunate pregnancy. But every single second of my life was different. And it would occur to me sometimes: What if I was forced to do this?’

She stars alongside Brian Tyree Henry in the Apple TV+ movie, which is reportedly due to be released in November.
