Married At First Sight UK’s Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson clashed over veganism during their honeymoon as things got heated.

The pair, who were the Channel 4 show’s first-ever all-female couple, met for the first time at the altar before saying their vows.

Shortly after, Zoe was left baffled by Jenna’s confession that she was a vegan, leaving Zoe asking the camera about whether that meant her new wife could eat eggs.

In tonight’s episode, their differing views on veganism led to a heated clash which began with Jenna admitting she’d be upset if Zoe ate reindeer, after seeing the option on their menu.

Elsewhere, Zoe refused to try Jenna’s tofu, while not long later, Zoe showed no regretin ordering lamb while her new wife opted for black beans.

‘It would be nice for her to try a vegan option,’ Jenna admitted to the camera.

Meanwhile, Zoe joked: ‘God forbid if I’d had medium rare [lamb] and it’s still baa-ing on the plate!’

‘I’m conscious now of what I’m ordering,’ she added, while Jenna said: ‘She’s ordering what she would always order on a menu, it’s a little bit frustrating.’

Later on, admiring the scenes in Iceland, the newlyweds spoke about how much they’d been enjoying their honeymoon.

Turning to the camera, Zoe shared: ‘Jenna’s like the perfect match for me but there are issues there and it’s important we raise them and I have got concerns.’

‘You know your bars are high,’ Zoe told Jenna as they spoke about the latter’s ‘lifestyle’.

‘My concern is that you’d try and make me change,’ Zoe told her, adding to the camera: ‘I feel like she doesn’t want to change me but she can’t help but try. It puts me off.’

She added that she doesn’t feel Jenna’s future includes someone who ‘eats meat’.

‘After today, I’m not sure that we will be able to get past this whole vegan thing,’ Jenna admitted.

Earlier in the day, Zoe and Jenna considered whether they had a future together.

‘It panics me moving quick, we’ve only known each other two days, but we have conversations because we have to, because we’re in this experiment where it’s so intense, that you can’t help but think what’s going to happen when we move into the apartment, after,’ Zoe began.

Jenna replied: ‘You definitely look further into the future than I do, and I’m just taking it day by day.’

The pair resolved things by the end of the episode (Picture: Channel 4)

‘I guess it’s a bit of a worry that she might feel like because this is such an intense process and it’s a lot so quickly that it might scare her off a little bit, but she’s not shown me anything to say she’s not interested in me, so I’ve got to go with that and not think about it so much,’ she added.

They later talked things through, with Zoe admitting she looks at things ‘further down the line’ while Jenna appreciated hearing about the trust in their future.

‘We do have differences, I’m just going to focus on the things we do have in common and I want to continue to explore that,’ Jenna added.
